Hi I'm Josh

I'm a Missionary

About Me

I lived on a ranch in a city.Kind of a contradiction, but I love it. It's given me the perspective of a small town kid living on a ranch and a kid smack dab in the middle of a large city. I've grown to love anything outdoors and aspire to a life full of doing what i love. I'm currently serving in the Columbus, Ohio mission for the church and am loving it. I'm serving the people of Mount Vernon and am excited to be meeting so many new people interested in the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm an avid climber, hiker, swimmer, runner, canyon adventurer, backpacker, long boarder, and hunter.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and slowly throughout my life have come to more fully understand the joy it brings and the sustaining force that it can be in our lives. The gospel is something I have learned to treasure and wish to share as a missionary for the church. It's something I live because it's right. I utterly and completely believe in every aspect of the church because I know the Book of Mormon is true. It's a very important part of my life and is something that is more than just a religion or an idea, It's a pure uplifting way of life that can bring good into the life of anyone who is willing to understand the true nature of themselves and the world around them.

How I live my faith

I do the things that are required of me by my God with an understanding that they are in place to help me. I have come to understand the importance of things like the health code I am to follow in a more fundamental way. For a long time I viewed the ordinances and practices of the church as restrictive and counter productive to my growth as a person. As I've gotten older my stance has changed as I've more fully lived a lifestyle conducive to being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I recognize the practices that frustrated me for so long as what they really are, a way to gain a greater understanding of one's self. I know my limits more fully and can achieve things beyond my limits because I have chosen to live this lifestyle.
