Hi I'm Zach

I am a Father and College Student studying Landscape Architecture and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father of a wonderful wife and little girl who is a joy to have around the house. In the meantime I am perusing a degree in Landscape Architecture and work for an electrical engineering company. Life is very busy and there is so many things that need to be accomplished, but as long as I can keep my eye on the end goal that I want to achieve, of having a career in which I can support my wife and daughter allows me to continue to push forward.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in to a family where both my parents were members of the church. Both of them had events in their youth that have lead both of them having strong testimonies of the church. While I have not experienced the same events in my life as they did in theirs, which lead to their testimonies, I have lead to my own testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. My testimony is the foundation of who I am. I am happy with who I am and where I am in my life, although I have much to learn and much to improve upon. One might ask how that is possible, but this one lesson has taught me so much about life and my pursuit of who I want to become. What I have learned is this, as long as I "love much" and do what I can to advance who I am and help those around me then I can be happy with who I am. Life is not easy but if we can keep the correct vision of the present and the future while learning from the past then we can advance through life with hope and happiness.

How I live my faith

In addition to everything that I have shared about my family and schooling I am also an instructor for the young men in my ward who are 12-13 years of age. It is a great calling and I love working with these young men.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ is a wonderful thing. As a member of a ward there are friends who can be a support and even though one might move to a new home and a new ward, old friends remain friends and some become life long friends while developing and fostering new friendships. As I and my friends go and learn throughout life and learn from on another we become a strength to one another as we are willing to open up to one another about difficulties I might be experiencing. To have friends who have the same values can become a great support and help. Show more Show less
