Hi I'm Kristen Leah

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I married my best friend and I am so excited to start our life together. I'm also the second oldest of 5 kids and my family is the most important thing in the world to me. They are my everything. I am a nursing student going to school to get my BSN...it's been a journey getting here but I made it! I want to make a difference in the world and be there for those in need--which is a big part of why I'm going to be a nurse. There is nothing that saddens me more than seeing people in need of love, a friend, or just a helping hand. I love being active and busy and spending time with my family and friends!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been raised Mormon all my life and have been incredibly blessed with the most caring, selfless, and loving parents. They taught me the importance of family and the gospel. I am so grateful for my testimony of this gospel and the knowledge I have that families can be together forever. The desire to have this with my family and my future family is what drives me to be worthy and obedient to the Lord's will. There is nothing I wouldn't do for my family. I have felt the Lord's love in my life and cannot image what I would do without it. He is most loving and wants us to return to Him and has given us so many tools to help us succeed. He is always here for us and will never abandon us. Of this I can testify. I am not perfect, but through Christ and His great atonement, I can return to Heavenly Father and be made whole. Without this gospel, my life would not be as fulfilling or filled with happiness. Even when the hard and difficult times come, I have a family and Heavenly Father to fall onto to give me strength and support to endure these trials. The peace and comfort that comes from the gospel and the Lord is what gets me through the hard times. I am so grateful for this and would not be who I am today without them.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be obedient to the Lord's commandments through serving others and trying to do my best everyday. I am not perfect, and when I do stumble, through the Atonement I can be made clean again.

How can we come to know our Father in Heaven?

Kristen Leah
The way I have come to know our Heavenly Father is by turning to Him in prayer when I am in need of comfort and strength. When I go through trials and life seems so impossible and terrifying, I realize I can't do this alone and bring myself to my knees and pour out my soul unto the Lord. I pray to Him and talk to Him as I would to my very best friend, and ask for guidance and to feel of His love. Although my trials do not go away, they become more manageable and possible and this is all because I humbled myself and sincerely talked to our Lord, our Savior. As we give ourselves to our Lord in prayer and also in obedience, we will come to feel of His deep and abiding love for us. This love will surround us and we will know that He lives and we come to not only know Him better, we will know ourselves better. Show more Show less
