Hi I'm Danny

I'm a psychologist, a professor, a sports/reading aficionado, and I love my amazing wife and kids, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love my life! My beautiful wife and children are my biggest priority and if possible I would spend every waking moment with them. Also, I love my job, I would do it for free, but they pay me for it so it works out! As an Assistant Professor of Psychology I absolutely love to teach and get students engaged in psychology and research. As a therapist I find it is a privilege and an honor helping people make positive changes in their lives. I spent two years in Puebla, Mexico sharing my beliefs about Christ and as a result, I have a love for Latinos and Mexicans in particular. I really enjoy playing sports, although lately it seems like I only have time to watch the highlights on ESPN. Pretty much my life couldn’t get much better.

Why I am a Mormon

Despite all of the distractions that the world offers I have found that following the commandments and especially the example of my Savior Jesus Christ brings me true joy. At around the age of 17, I began to read the scriptures in earnest, it was an experience that changed my life forever. Reading the scriptures brought me closer to Christ and helped me to see that God has a plan for me. Praying and communicating with my Heavenly Father has helped me see His plan in my life more clearly and prayer has brought me a great deal of peace. I treasure my family and I'm grateful that I'll get to be with them forever. My beliefs have continued to be strengthened through church attendance, scripture study, and personal prayer.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith one day at a time. I find that, however difficult a situation may be, that I can always see God's influence on my life. I might not always see His influence in the moment but after the fact I have been able to see His love and guidance in my life. Staying focused on my relationship with God helps me to maintain a perspective where I am able to see his influence. I know that my membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints has helped my to be a better and more devoted husband, a more involved father, a more responsible member of my community, a more dedicated worker, and in general a better person.
