Hi I'm Jessica Nickerson

I'm a wife, mom, foster mom, nursing assistant and a pre-nursing student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am number 5 of 6 daughters. I grew up with family all around me and LOVE to be with my family. I am a wife of almost 6 years to an amazing husband. We have one handsome little boy who keeps us busy. I'm currently a Certified Nursing Assistant, but going to school now working towards my Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I am also a licensed foster mom, having had 5 additional children in my home for a time, but currently do not have any additional. I love my husband, son, and life. We keep busy with work, school, and playing. We're going non stop and that's just how I like it.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to a family who is Mormon. I have served a mission for our church in Montana, USA. I was married in the Mesa, AZ temple to my best friend and companion. I still know that this is the one and only true church on the face of the earth. I have studied other religions, and have never gotten the comfort and peace from them as I do with the Mormom faith. We try to live like Jesus Christ lived, with unconditional love for everyone. We are human, so we all make mistakes sometimes. It's what we do after those mistakes that determine our "worth" in our own eyes, but also, it allows us to feel closer connected to our Father in Heaven when we turn to him for help. I know that the Lord speaks to us today through a living Prophet to guide and direct us along paths of righteousness. I know that as we live the commandments and follow the teachings of the prophet and other church leaders, we will be prepared for the end of this life and be able to be accepted into our eternal lives.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time. I have served in our church as a pianist and a choister (not at the same time). I participate in church meetings with the other ladys in church and plan activities to help us grow closer to the Lord as a group as well. I listen to music that is uplifting without bad language. I watch movies that are family rated and oriented.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Jessica Nickerson
It is a commandment of the Lord to pay tithes and offerings. It has been set by the church as 10% of the income. The money is used to pay for church buildings, temples, and missionary work, as well as continuing education, and fast offerings. The fast offerings are gathered per area and distributed to people and families in need. Show more Show less
