Hi I'm Laura

I love dance, music, fashion, and exercise. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student of human development and music at BYU and I love to dance! There is something about moving your body in a beautiful way that connects with my spirit and makes me so happy. I love being active and enjoying the outdoors, especially hiking, rafting, rock climbing, and working with animals. Life is really tough, but Heavenly Father is always pouring blessings on our heads if we can just look up and feel the sunshine.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for my entire life, but like everyone I had to come to a knowledge of its truthfulness for myself. I had to search the scriptures and pray for answers to my questions too. The Lord made Himself known to me and He plays an active role in my life. I owe my everything to Him and I try every day to humble myself to accept His will, knowing that He wants what will truly make me happiest. I promise that if you read the Book of Mormon and pray with a sincere heart He will manifest the truth of it unto you as well, and nothing can bring more hope, peace, and joy into your life!

How I live my faith

I have learned that loving others is the most important thing I can do with my life. I do the basics like attending church and fulfilling my calling, but I find that more joy comes into my life when I do those things with one eye open for where I can make a difference for someone. My goal is to leave every situation better than it was before I was there! For me, music is a form of worship and I can let my spirit sing through my violin. Especially recently, I have been making it a personal goal to say morning and evening prayers and really talk to my Father in Heaven and my relationship with Him has been strengthened so much. I have transformed scripture reading into daily scripture study and I am taught every day something I can do to make myself just a little better. The big milestones can only come from little changes we make in our daily lives. There is power in consistency, there is power in prayer, and there is power in laughter. Every second is a gift to be thankful for =).
