Hi I'm Jerome

I grew up in Southeast Arizona and graduated from high school in Oregon. I met my wife at BYU where I became an RN. I’m a Mormon.

About Me

I am blessed to be married to a wonderful and intelligent wife. We have a two year old daughter and another child on the way. I support them by working as a Registered Nurse. I enjoy camping, hiking, and especially backpacking. My wife is kind enough to accompany me and carry our daughter while I carry the gear. I also am fairly handy repairing my own cars and fixing computers.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are both member and I grew up in the church. More importantly I prayed to my Heavenly Father to know the truth. I know that the Lord loves me despite my shortcomings and that he loves you as well. I know Jesus Christ is our Savior. To me without that knowledge and commitment life would be meaningless. I love the Lord and his church. Every aspect of my life is strengthened by it, especially my family. The Lord has truly blessed us.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a teacher and advisor for the young men in our congregation. I also serve the same group of young men as an assistant scoutmaster. I go as often as my work schedule will permit to their meetings and campout. I had the opportunity to go to their high adventure camp this year. I also served a two year mission in Los Angeles for the church. My coworkers on joke with me about having walked on the streets of Compton and Watts and I have. The men in my congregation often serve by helping people who are moving in or out of the area.
