Hi I'm Kim

Happily married with 4 kids, one puppy, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Utah, a fun normal childhood. We traveled allot as a family and ate dinner almost every night together. At these dinners we discussed history, politics, science, health and religion. From a young age I had an interest in Dogs, other cultures, our nations history, and my religion. These intrest have stayed with me as an adult. I teach my children about the founding fathers, unigue qualities of other cultures and religions. I have a bachelors of science from UVU, of which I studied anthropology, sociaology and psycology. I graduated when my first was 4 months old, I made her a graduation gown and cap from scraps and she walked with me to get my diploma. I love to be independent. As a mom and wife I do that by making my own bread, and foods from scratch. I make decorations, drapes, tables, pillows, books, and personalized gifts and cards. We ride our bikes and walk as much as we can. I love to teach my children skills, weather its drawing, cleaning up after themselves, or riding a bike. I love physical work and activities. I enjoy organized races and have participated in sprint triathalons, half marathons, 10K, 5k's and kids races with my older two children. I love yard work, and labor, I love feeling that I have accomplished something. I mostly enjoy scrapbooking, crafts with paper, wood, and fabric. I also really enjoy relay races in the back yard with all my kids, reading to them, and drawing with them. I love to serve others and be useful.

Why I am a Mormon

It has always been integral to my life. It has been who i knew, What I did on Sunday and etc. Now I have been able to see that I am a better person for it. It is not just what I am comfortable with. I love living and sharing the gospel. I need the network and service from others during my trials an hardships and I love to give back and help others during their times of need. I know our Savior has a plan for us and I want to follow that as best I can and help those around my follow it as well.

How I live my faith

I teach young kids the gospel and values of Christians. I volnteer my time, skills and resources to those in my ward an stake. I contribute my time, skills and resources to my neightborhood, city and community. I make food for families with health issues, or a loss of a loved one. I watch children in my home for parents that need some time. Our family cleans the church building, pick up trash on hiking trails and parks. We donate our old clothes, and house hold goods to community yard sales and etc. I try to help those in need. I try to give rides, smiles, money, food, and elbow greese to people I see that need help. I try to show charity and service like our, my Savior did.

Why do some call Mormonism a cult?

Kim
I think because they do not really understand. We are a very close knit group, we have a network and take care of every person no matter age, gender, belief, everyone has a group to learn with and have activities with. I personally know many people confuse this with us being controlled. It is merely liek minded people learning and growing with each other. Show more Show less
