Hi I'm Charity

I am a teacher. I am a happy wife and mother. I love being around children! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I LOVE being with my children! We spend each day together playing, cleaning together, and being silly. Seeing them grow, learn, and develop fills my heart with so much joy! Right now they are very small (3 and 1 1/2) and sometimes the time I spend caring for them can be exhausting, but there is no more rewarding work in all the world and I am so grateful to be able to soak in these precious moments with them. I like to try to keep my mind and hands active with some hobbies. I have always loved to read and learn about other people and other parts of the world. Lately I have been learning how to remake old furniture with spray paint. I love seeing something so ugly and unwanted become beautiful again! I have been really blessed this last year with the opportunity to open a small preschool in my home just one day a week for my children and some of their friends. I studied Early Childhood Education in college and this has always been a dream of mine! I have enjoyed unspeakably this chance to go through all of my old amazing materials from college again and refresh my memory of what a joy it is to teach young children and plan meaningful activities for them! I am excited to see how I am learning to be a better mother with this opportunity too :)

Why I am a Mormon

I love this church! I am a Mormon because I feel in my heart each day as I serve in my callings and live the gospel that I am doing what the Lord wants me to do. I have seen with so much gratitude how much the Lord has allowed me to grow and learn through obeying his laws. I know that I am a better person today than I used to be because I am trying to live in the way to gospel teaches and I hope I will continue to improve throughout all my life. I was born into this church and I remember as a child having a great desire to know for myself if I really belonged to the true church rather than just relying on the word of my parents and others. From a very young age I began to pray to ask Heavenly Father if this was really his church and if all the things it teaches are true. I have asked this question in prayer countless times since and I have truly been blessed with answers from God. Often those answers come as a feeling of warmth that fills my soul with a feeling of complete love and I know that God is happy with my choices and he wants me to know that I am on the right path.

How I live my faith

I live my faith in many ways. One of the ways is by being a leader over the children in my ward. I am a young mother and up until now I have not had many leadership experiences. It has been a sweet experience for me to see how the Lord asked someone so weak and simple as me to help in this way and how he has qualified me for this service by teaching me many things and helping me in my responsibilities. I am also assigned 2 sisters to watch over and visit regularly to uplift them in the gospel and become a good friend for them so that they would feel comfortable coming to me when they are in need of help. There are also women assigned to watch over me in this way. Having other women to rely on and care for is truly a blessing om so many ways. In times of difficulty we have help available and we are also able to have the joy of serving others in their times of trial. I feel that one of the most important ways that I live my faith is in my family. I try to treat my husband and children as well as my parents, brothers, sisters, and in-laws in the way Christ would have me treat them. I also feel it is very important to teach my children about their Savior and the love he has for them.
