Hi I'm Steve Keim

I live in Indiana with my sweetheart of 30 years, we have 3 children and 2 grandchildren, I am a retired UPSers, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I are the parents of 3 wonderful children. So far we also have two precious grandchildren: Brynn and Zoey. I am a graduate of Indiana University and hold a Masters Degree in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University. My interests range from painting, playing golf, chasing my grandchildren, continuing the romance with my wife and most especially, serving the Lord within His Kingdom on the earth.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Latter-day Saint (Mormon) because in the darkest days of my life, when my physical and spiritual life hung in the balance, the Lord sent His servants to rescue me. In those hours sitting at the feet of true representative of Christ. I learned that I am a person of worth not because of what I own or the titles or degrees I obtain but because I am literally a child of God and am precious to Him. I learned that my life needed to be reordered and that there was a way to overcome my sins and transgressions. I testify that the Lord Jesus Christ paid the price for not only my sins and transgressions through His atoning sacrfice in the Garden of Gethsemane and sealed on the Cross of Calvary, but His arms of mercy extend to all who seek Him. He is my Lord and Savior. I testify that our worthy prayers are heard and answered. One such prayer that was answered to blessing of all mankind was that of the young Joseph Smith. Through him the Lord restored the fulness of His Gospel, gave him power to translate and publish the Book of Mormon (Another Testament of Christ, restored the keys of the Priesthood and thus the authority to restore His Church: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In the 32 years that have followed since my baptism on a beautiful September morn, my life has been immensely blessed by this burning and growing testimony. My relationship Lord deepens and strengthens and His influence touches every aspect of my life. I bear testimony that Christ lives! He is the head of this Church and is personally involved in the lives of all who serve Him.

How I live my faith

My greatest joy is when I am in the service of my God. A Book of Mormon prophet, King Benjamin testified that "..when ye are in the service of your fellow beings, ye are only in the service of your God" (Mosiah 2:17) In the 32 years I have been a member of the Lord's Church it has been service to my fellowman in the Name of the Lord that has sustained and strengthened my faith. I have seen the power of that service as a holder of the Holy Priesthood. I have seen hearts softened through the love of Christ as ministered by His servants. I have been blessed to be an instrument in His Hands as I have served as missionary, a Home Teacher, callings in the Ward and Stake, and most especially as a husband, father and grandfather. It is service that sustains and strengthens faith. It is service that opens the windows of heaven to ourselves and others and it is service that reveals the Lord to us in a personal way. Another great prophet from the Book of Mormon testified of this. The prophet Alma said, " 9 I know that which the Lord hath commanded me, and I glory in it. I do anot bglory of myself, but I glory in that which the Lord hath commanded me; yea, and this is my glory, that perhaps I may be an instrument in the hands of God to bring some soul to repentance; and this is my joy. 10 And behold, when I see many of my brethren truly penitent, and coming to the Lord their God, then is my soul filled with joy; then do I remember awhat the Lord has done for me, yea, even that he hath heard my prayer; yea, then do I remember his merciful arm which he extended towards me." (Alma 29) I add my testimony to Alma's. We can develop a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. He is not a distant God but a knowable Friend and Helper. The natural result of knowing Him is to invite others to come and see for themselves. He lives!
