Hi I'm Tyler

I am a Father, Husband, Actor and Police Officer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

When I was 8 years old I began a career on stage performing in musicals singing and dancing. Acting was my passion and I pursued this passion professionally after serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Birmingham England Mission. For ten years I performed all over the country. In 2005 I was performing in "A Christmas Carol" as young Scrooge when I met my Eternal companion, Teresa. Teresa and I went to the same church but had only spoken briefly on a few occasions. I was busy with work to have a relationship...so I thought. The Lord had other plans for me. Teresa called me one night and told me that she was coming to see my show and she asked if I would go out with her for dinner afterward. I accepted and the rest is as they say history. 3 months later we were married in the Mesa Arizona Temple, sealed for time and eternity. We soon had a little girl, the light of my life and daddy's little girl, McKenna. Another year or so went by and providing for my young family got more and more difficult as an actor changing shows and contracts every few months. I decided to pursue a more stable career to provide for my family's needs. In 2008 I tested to become a Police Officer. It would take two years of hard work and dedication but in 2010 I was hired by an agency and have been working as a police officer ever since. As a Police Officer word got out that I was a singer and I have had the honor of performing at several Police functions.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon by choice. I certainly had many opportunities to choose another path. The arts industry is a difficult one to be in as a member. We don't drink, have premarital relations, or do drugs. In this line of work those things are rampant and not to partake can in some instances even hurt your chances of success. I chose at a young age to try and live the principles that I had been taught as a young man. At 19 I served a mission for the church for 2 years in England. It was not until I went to England that I gained a testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel for myself. It was there in that beautiful country that I came to Know my God and to know that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior and the Redeemer of the world. I studied the scriptures and taught of HIM daily. His life set the example for me. I made the decision then that if Acting ever took me away from the Gospel I would find something else I loved to do. I love singing to share my Testimony through song brings me great joy. I have been blessed with many opportunities to share the Gospel of Christ. As a Police Officer I see the "lows" of the world but instead of making me despair it gives me hope that the promises of the Lord will be fulfilled. In people's darkest times I am the one sent to help. That is a great blessing in my life.

How I live my faith

I strive daily to live the Gospel I tell my friends that I am not perfect but that I know through the Merciful Atonement I can be forgiven of my mistakes each day and start anew. I don't drink, I don't do drugs. I avoid pornography and all it's destructive influence like the plague. I strive to do my best to fulfill my callings in the church. I teach my family righteous principles. I attend church every Sunday and strive to be worthy of the Holy Spirits guidance in my life. I read the Scriptures and try to apply them to my life.
