Hi I'm Madisyn

I love to sing. I love to laugh. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Bonjour! Thank you for visiting my profile my friend. I hope you're doing well. I'm Madisyn, my two parents raised me in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and my testimony and obedience in Jesus Christ is what's keeping me a member today. Being the youngest of four children is the best but comes will a lot of responsibility, I am grateful my family and I learn together and have patience with one anothers' weaknesses. Right now I am a Vocal Performance under-graduate student at Central Washington University who enjoys making music, talking, embroidery, ultimate frisbee, playing games, writing letters, and trying new things. Some attributes that I am working on are: no nervous nail cleaning, prioritizing, having Christlike love for everyone, and remembering to keep smiling. At the moment I am preparing for an 18-month mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Massachusetts Boston Mission! I am beyond excited, I have wanted to go serve since I was very young and it is hard to believe my turn has already come. I love this gospel! My favorite color is green, I love sushi, my favorite bedtime story is The Ugly Duckling by Hans Christian Andersen and it's very fitting because my favorite animal is a swan! I know my Redeemer, Jesus Christ the Savior of the world, lives and His hand is in our lives everyday if we look.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into this church. As I have grown and learned it's teachings throughout my life I've really come to understand the fullness and truth of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons). By going to church every Sabbath day to partake of the sacrament, keeping my covenants, and learn teachings of Christ not only in church but in other Mormon activities my testimony is strengthened. I can testify to you, that I know Jesus Christ is my Savior and Redeemer. And he lives in me and you. We see it everyday how the spirit of the gospel touches others and ourselves. I know we have a living prophet today that guides and teaches the truth. I know I am a Child of God. And He has a divine destiny for me. I know that if I keep His commandments, use the atonement, and live in truth I will live with Him again and receive all he has set forth for me. And I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I remember who and whose I am. I try to pray often and feast upon the scriptures to learn from our prophets. To immerse myself in serving others in love and unity as Christ does. Choosing everyday to live His teachings and become the daughter of God I am created to be. Attending church on Sunday and keeping the covenants I have made. I look towards the temple trying to go as much as I can. I keep my standards and learn from the great examples around me.

What is the difference between attending a church and attending a temple?

Members come to church in order to prepare for the temple. The temple is the house of the Lord, a place where we need to be worthy to enter into His presence. When members attend church they partake of the sacrament. And if they are sincere in their heart in this sacred ordinance, they have the opportunity to become clean of their sins they have repented for. Which creates the opportunity to take it to the next step, receiving a temple recommend to attend or participate in temple ordinances. Show more Show less
