Hi I'm Heather Oliphant

I am a daughter, a sister, and an aunt. I make wedding cakes. I love music and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated from college with a two year degree. I am the 4th child of a family of 9 kids. I play the cello, piano, and sing. I love spending time outdoors and swimming. Crafting and creating things are two things I enjoy doing with family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that is Mormon. That is the initial reason I am Mormon today, but through out my life I have had little experiences that have testified to me that this is the true Church. My parents have always taught me that getting married in the temple is what I should do, but it really sunk in a few years ago when my big sister got married in the temple. As she walked out of the temple doors with her new husband. I could see and feel the joy and validity of the marriage ceremony. It was then that I decided that without any doubt that I knew that this Church was true and the the Temple is truly the House of God. I know that the Family is Central to Heavenly Father's plan. And that though the Temple I can be sealed to my Family for all eternity.

How I live my faith

In my ward I play the organ for our sacrament services, I also organize the Visiting Teaching for the sisters in my ward. Part of my college experience has been going to Institute, a religious institution of learning. I have seen how much institute blesses my life and encourage others to come to institute. I am serving a full time mission to help other people come to know of the happieness I have recieved from this gospel.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Heather Oliphant
Family is important to Mormons because family is a unit that is central to maintaining a wholesome community. Not only that but it provides a safe and encouraging environment to learn the teachings of Christ. We were organized into families for a purpose. We came to this earth as part of this specific family for a reason. That reason is different for every person. There is somthing you should learn from them or something that they should learn from you. Families should be a loving environment where we feel safe. Show more Show less
