Hi I'm Eric

I'm a father of three. I'm an investment advisor. I'm blessed to live in the beautiful Northwest. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I own my own business as a financial planner and investment advisor. Outside of work, my wife and I mostly enjoy supporting our kids in their activities and interests, me being their photographer. I love to read, mostly non-fiction and biographies. I enjoy a number of outdoor activities and sports, including golf, basketball, tennis, sailing, and water activities.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the LDS church when I was five years old. I have many great memories growing up in the church, which included the Primary program for young children, cub scouts, boy scouts, and youth activities. I knew my family belonged to a good, uplifting church, but decided at the age of 15 that I needed a deeper spiritual conversion. I committed myself to read the Book of Mormon every day, and did so for months. I had some profound and beautiful experiences as I prayerfully read each night. By the time I finished the book, 8 months later, I knew, without any doubt, that it contained the word of God. No book, other than the Bible, had ever spoken to my soul in such a profound and uplifting way, and no book has ever since. I treasure the Bible and Book of Mormon, which both testify of our Savior, Jesus Christ, and his divine teachings and atoning sacrifice. That testimony led me to serve a two-year mission to Mexico at the age of 19, which were two of the best years of my life. Many choice experiences have followed. The investments I have made in living the gospel of Jesus Christ have reaped the greatest rewards in my life.

How I live my faith

I have had many opportunities to serve in various capacities in our church with children, youth and adults. I have also had opportunities to serve our community and schools through local charities and foundations, coaching, school fundraisers, etc. Each opportunity has stretched me and my abilities in different ways. I have learned that it is through service that I can grow personally and feel closer to God. I strive and make it my lifetime pursuit to follow the perfect example of Jesus Christ. I know as I frequently fall short that I can be forgiven. Christ invites each of us to "come, follow me", which I think is an amazing invitation and the most noble of life pursuits!
