Hi I'm Sherry Wharton

I'm a Texan that is serving her mission in Boise Idaho!

About Me

I'm a Texan through and through, I'm currently in Boise Idaho serving a full-time MISSION for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints, and i love every moment of it :) though i did laugh because i will be attending byu-i again after my mission so Idaho will be like a second home but i will forever be a TEXAS GIRL! I love (almost) every kind of sport there is, and willing to try even though i know i wont be good at. Basketball is my favorite, and i love running! Art is my passion, i love seeing all the different art, i paint, sketch, and i doodle on any spare paper i can find. I like to pretend i can play the Ukulele ;) and i was a big gamer before my mission, i loved playing Nazi Zombies with my friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon, because this church makes my life make sense.. Which is why i would hope anyone would be apart of any religion. Being a member of this church helped me realized that there is a Loving God who knows and cares for each of us, He has placed people, events and hardship in our lives for a reason. Our Heavenly Father sent our elder brother on this earth to Atone for us.So that if we live accordingly to his will, we will be able to Live with them, and all our family once more. For that blessing alone i am forever grateful. The peace that this Gospel brings is incomparable and I Thank my Father in Heaven for it Everyday. Which i why i am out serving a mission! i know how much this gospel has blessed my life and if i never went out to share that with others i would feel extremely ungrateful, just like any good thing you want to share with those you love, the gospel is that for me.

How I live my faith

To put simply i obey Christ's Doctrine the best i can. I know through Christ's Atonement ill be able to strive to be more Christ-like everyday. Even though you may stumble up on the course, don't forget to look back and see how far you've come.
