Hi I'm Eric

I'm just a regular guy. I'm also LDS.

About Me

I am a computer programmer that works in the specialized fields of food safety and satellite electronics. When I'm not working, though, I enjoy growing apple trees, reading, roller-blading, learning new things, and just plain thinking.

Why I am a Mormon

I suppose the first reason I'm a Mormon is that my parents are. They have taught me about Christ and his Gospel all throughout my life. I still gain insight from them as I watch them diligently trying to follow the teaching of Christ. My family is a great inspiration to me. That, though, a wonderful foundation, is not what sustains me or helps me forward as I try to figure out my own path in my life. I am a thinker by nature, and I watch people and analyze what I observe them doing. I think about the teachings of the LDS church, and I ponder them. They are good. That is not to say that the people who belong to the Church live as they would like, or manage to follow those teachings perfectly, but I see that they try. To me, that is important. It means that I can try as well. And it is in trying that I find the reason that I belong to the Church. For I have learned, and constantly re-learn, through my own experience, that the Lord answers my prayers. That is why I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It really is that simple. The Lord answers my prayers.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith simply in living my life. I am reminded that we always have choices to make. Many of them seem insignificant, and, individually, they are. However, they give us the chance to develop the character and traits that we wish to work on.
