Hi I'm Evan

I love to create things. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a graphic designer. I love my job. Every day I get to create things that people see and interact with. I love music and I write and record in my spare time (which, these days, isn't very much!). Most important is my family. I am a husband and father of two beautiful daughters.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are Mormons and so I was a Mormon. At first I went to church because that's what we did in my family, but as I grew older, I had to find out for myself if the teachings were true. I remember reading the Book of Mormon when I was 14 to sort of test it out and I noticed that reading it actual changed my character and made me a better person. I continued to ask questions and put the gospel to the test through my teen years. I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true because I've put it to the test. I've tried it. I attribute all the good that has come my way to be the blessings that come from obedience to God.

How I live my faith

Being a disciple of Jesus Christ is no passive thing. My wife and I are active in our ward (or congregation). We attend regular sunday meetings and spend time outside of that serving the members of our ward and our community. I currently help run the Sunday School program for our congregation. I also teach the youth Sunday School class each week. My wife and I try to attend the temple at least once a month (which can be a challenge with two young children). Our faith is an important part of our family. We pray together every day, try to read the scriptures (right now, we're reading the New Testament) with our kids every day. We also have Family Home Evening most weeks. Every good thing in my life has come as a result of trying to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It strengthens my marriage and my family and it just plain makes me happy.
