Hi I'm Alexes

I'm a bookworm. I'm a scrapbooker.I'm a mother to two beautiful children. I'm a photographer and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother to one really active 2 year old boy and a sweetheart of a baby girl. I'm a stay at home mom and in my spare time I enjoy doing anything crafty. I really enjoy taking photos of my family and anyone else who will let me! I'm a convert to the church and I have loved every single minute of my life since I was baptized. It's the one decision in my life I have never once regretted.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me a better person. It's always encouraging me to be better and to continually improve upon myself. Without it who knows where I would be. I've been a member of the Church for coming up on 5 years now. Before I was baptized, I didn't have any goals in life. I was just floating along, not having any purpose. Now I have directions and goals in my life that give be drive to be a better me.

How I live my faith

In my ward here in Seattle, Washington, I have a calling or a duty in my church community. I am in charge of making the ward program for the Sacrament Service every Sunday. It takes about an hour of my time every week but I know it really helps out the other members of the ward because in it you can find all the information that the ward needs to be aware of such as upcoming activities and events.

What is being a Mormon like?

Being a Mormon gives you a feeling that is hard to describe in one word. I felt a mixture of emotions when I read this question. Happiness, joy, comfort, and love. I feel as if I always have a huge arms wrapped around me, making me feel safe and warm. Whenever I really think about it, I always tear up. I just love being a part of this church, with a community that really cares about the needs of myself and my family. People truly love one another in this community. I have been amazed at seeing how willing people are to help each other. Whenever anyone our community, and not just in our ward, has a baby, or experiences a death in the family, or any other sort of event, there are always members there helping with food, or cleaning or a myriad of other things. I love the spirit I feel when I hear the prophet speaks. I know this Church is true with every fiber of my being and I wouldn't have it any other way. Show more Show less
