Hi I'm Dani

I love traveling, being crafty, and learning. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated from college in 2010 with a degree in Sociology. I love sewing, crocheting, and crafting basically anything because I think that the things we own are much more special if we have a hand in their making. Plus, it's just fun. I married a wonderful man in 2008, and while it hasn't always been easy, our life together is blessed. I love living close to both of our families because we can get together on a regular basis and just annoy each other and help each other whenever we please. One of my favorite things to do is travel. My goal is to see all 50 states some day and also Ireland, Italy, and Iceland. I went to Germany with school a couple of years ago and would love to take my hubby back there, also. I hope that my husband and I can serve a mission together somewhere new and different one day. I love learning and hope I will never stop being taught. The more I learn, the more I realize how much I don't know!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I can see the fruits of this gospel. The blessings that have ALWAYS come to me when I follow the teachings of the Lord are a wonderful reminder of how much He loves me and wants me to make choices that will benefit myself and those around me. The teachings of love, family, preparedness, joy, repentance, service, and humility make me a better person and I am so grateful for that. Because of the gospel I know that I am not alone. I have Him, my family, and most importantly my husband for eternity.

How I live my faith

At church I teach the 5-6 year old class. They are definitely a light in my life! I can't help but smile when I see them learning about their divine worth and watch them grow in to great little people. Some of my favorite moments in life revolve around service in communities. I have volunteered at several local charities including Harvesters, Habitat, and Operation Breakthrough. I went on a couple of service trips to Florida on Spring Break in college where we spent our days in soup kitchens, clothing distribution centers, low income daycares and the like. Service is hard and humbling and I never regret one single second of it. It's helping God's children in need.
