Hi I'm Becca

Hi, I'm Becca. I'm a twin, a redhead, and serving a mission in Singapore June 2016. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, my name is Becca, and I'm a Mormon. I'm from Arizona, and am currently serving an LDS mission in Singapore! I have a twin sister, a younger sister, two younger brothers that cause the craziest shenanigans and the best parents in the world. With my spare time before leaving on my mission I loved to do photography, play ukulele and piano, watercolor paint, bake, and have adventures with my friends! I enjoy composing songs on the piano and sing lyrics to songs as I play. I love to sing! I participated in multiple choirs in high school and love it! I enjoy camping, hiking, laughing with friends, road trips, and being with my awesome family. I love this gospel!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon. I was born into the church. Throughout my life, my parents have taught me how to live the gospel. When I got older, I was determined to have a testimony all my own. I've always known that God is my Heavenly Father and He loves me, and that Jesus Christ is my older brother, but I really wanted what I believed to be true to be confirmed to me by God. One night, alone in my room, I prayed out loud, asking God if this Church was true. What happened next was amazing. I got a warm feeling in my heart, and felt so happy I could almost burst. I know that this Church is God's true Church on the earth today, and that Jesus Christ performed the Atonement because he loves us and so we all could all repent and be forgiven of our sins, and live with God again and with our families forever. I could never deny that.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith in the way I interact with others and the way I live my everyday life. I try to be Christlike, and try my best to love everyone and treat them as children of God, because they are. Simple acts of service is another way that I try to live my faith. I believe that even the simple things, such as asking someone how their day went, being a friend, smiling at someone, or cheering up someone who is sad, are very important, and are things Christ would do if He were on the Earth right now.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Joseph Smith was a young boy, who lived in the 1800s. He was a boy with a question. When Joseph was 14, he wanted to know which church to join. After reading in the bible, the book of James 1:5, he decided to ask God. What transpired next was a marvelous moment in history. God- our Heavenly Father- and His Son, Jesus Christ, appeared to Joseph Smith, calling him by name and telling him to join none of the churches, for they all had parts of the truth but none were Christ's true church on the earth. Through the prophet Joseph Smith, Jesus Christ restored his gospel and the Book of Mormon, a true testament of Christ. The Book of Mormon contains in it more happiness, knowledge, peace, and truth than any other book. Show more Show less
