Hi I'm Marlee

I love to laugh, to help other people and to be with my family. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I LOVE my life! I have three amazing younger sisters, and two fantastic parents. I love running, baking, watching movies, reading, food, playing basketball and being with my friends and family! I love to laugh and to have fun, and one of my favorite things is helping people and making them happy. I spent the past year at BYU, and loved every minute of it. I am currently serving in the Great California Ventura Mission, speaking Spanish.

Why I am a Mormon

I've been raised as a member of this church. When I was younger, I wasn't sure if the Church was true, but I knew that it was still the best way to live my life. As a freshman in high school, I finally decided that I couldn't keep coming to church every Sunday and going to seminary (Bible study) every morning if I didn't know for myself that all the things I was being taught were true. I may not have known at the time if Joseph Smith really saw God the Father and Jesus Christ or whether the Book of Mormon was true, but I knew that I had a Heavenly Father who loved me and would answer my prayers. And my prayers were answered with feelings of peace, happiness and comfort. That is why I continue to follow this gospel- it makes me happy. Not only that, but it helps me be a better person, because it teaches me to pattern my life after the best example of all- that of Jesus Christ. I know that not only is Christ my Savior and Redeemer, but He will always be my friend when it feels like no one else is there for me. Because of all that He suffered in the Atonement, He understands all that I go through- my sins, my joys, my sorrows and my weaknesses. I know that I am a daughter of God and that He has a plan for me in this life. He wants me to be happy and return to Him, which is what He wants for all of us.

How I live my faith

My faith teaches me to follow the example of Jesus Christ. This requires action, doing that Christ would do if He was here. I try to do my best to follow His example every day. Also, for the next 18 months, I'll be serving as a missionary and trying to share my knowledge about Jesus Christ with other people, thereby helping them grow their faith in the Savior as well.
