Hi I'm Vanessa

I'm a student, mother, & wife. I'm half-Caucasian, half-Samoan. I love to dance. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Vanessa. I am a happy and sarcastic daughter, mother, and wife. I am the second youngest of 7 children. I have been married for almost 4 years now to my favorite man on earth-Petuliki. Together we have a crazy, loud, and loving daughter named Mosiana. I am half-Caucasian (American: English & German descent) and half-Samoan. I am currently in school studying software engineering. It is difficult being a full-time student, and full-time wife/mom... but I enjoy it and always seem to make it through each day. I enjoy dancing (Polynesian), taking pictures of fun moments in life, and just genuinely hanging out with my family members.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I know that this Church is the only true Church on the earth today. I know that Jesus Christ died for our sins, and I know that He lives and loves everyone. I know that Heavenly Father loves me and cares about my well-being. I know that because of the great plan of salvation, I can be with my family forever from now through all eternity. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ, and I know that through his obedience and faith, he was able to restore the true Church back onto the earth. I know the Book of Mormon is another Testament of Jesus Christ, and I know that the words spoken within them are true and real. I know all of these things because I have prayed to Heavenly Father to know if these things are true, and at different times in my life, it has been revealed to me that every bit of my testimony is true. My mother was a convert to the Church from her small island in Samoa. My father was a member of the Church throughout his entire life. I am fortunate to have such wonderful parents who have taught me the teachings of the gospel, and encouraged me to have faith in my Heavenly Father. I am thankful for my pioneer ancestors who traveled from Europe, served missions, and walked with their families across the U.S. to help establish the Church from Kirtland, Nauvoo, and eventually Salt Lake City, UT. I am honored and will continue to carry their legacy by the life that I live. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending Church, listening to the words our Prophet President Thomas S. Monson, and striving to do the best that I can. I am not perfect. I make mistakes everyday. It is not easy to choose the right all the time. I live my faith by knowing that I am really trying my best to keep me and my family happy.
