Hi I'm Eric

I am a newely married man, being a father figure to a 12 yr old. I love the sun but i live near Seattle and i am a Mormon!

About Me

I was born into a family of 4 my father mother sister and i we moved to the seattle area after living in southern Wyoming. i was always into music. i sang in choirs, played the sax, collected music and lated dj'd the music to weddings and parties. i was also involved in sports. i ran and ran and played any sport i could get my hands on. i went to school and studied communication i love sociology history psycology and politics yes politics! After long distance dating My wife and i were married in the St Geroge temple and as an added bonus i have the opportunity to be a step father to a fantastic 12 year old boy. My wife and i bought a house in south east area of seattle and are making the house into a home. we amuse ourselves with frisby, skip-bo movies, music sports hikes bike rides (when the sun is out, we live in seattle) we adopted a punk cat that wakes us up every morning and two cock a poo's that do a good job eating our house. the boy loves to read and is very athletic he is a good guy. i love my family

Why I am a Mormon

My family growing up was mormon but the true conversion came much later and i believe is a progressive one at that. growing up we were only somewhat active and then in 1993 my father was involved in a car accident that left him dead. Growing up from then on was hard. i hated life, i was angry and sad. in my depressed state i grew up not putting value on myself, i alienated myself i was comfortable being sad i felt this way until i turned 19 was given a choice should i serve a mission? through much prayer and study i was given the green light to go. i served faithfully in the utah provo mission. i learned a lot of who i am and who i ought to be. my faith in not only in our lord and savior grew, but also my faith in myself. i was starting to break out of my shell and i saw that i was a person of value. do i become the man that i want to become or should i be the man that god wants me to become. i light started to shine. I am happy now there is always something to smile at life is fun and i love life my lifes jaded outlook is gone. the savior atoned for us we know about his workings through prophets who wrote in scripture and prophets that speak to us today we can learn how to be happy personaly and as a community He has given us tools to help us be happy, the holy ghost, priesthood to name a few i know that if we do what we can to become the type of people that god wants us to be we will be happy not only here but in the life after

How I live my faith

i live my faith by being the type of person that heavenly father wants me to be. i have an opportunity to work with the 11 year old scouts and they are a lively bunch but it is great to see them grow and "mature" i with my wife hold something called family home evening where it is purly family time. we have a small lession and we have a fun activity we also have family reading "every" morning. we are reading the book of Mormon right now. it is a great way to start the day. we have morning evening companionship family and personal prayers. my family is important so we need our armor
