Hi I'm Felicity

I'm a junior in high school. I love to play the piano and have fun with my friends and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of three children, a junior in high school and I love life.I'm a pretty social and outgoing person and I love to be with my friends, no matter what we are doing. I also love music and have played the piano since I was 7 years old, and have learned to play various band instuments and a little bit of the guitar, since then. I think that music is one of the best ways to express myself and I play the piano whenever I can. My family is very important to me and I consider myself extremely blessed to live so close to my dad's side of the family and love to spend time with them. I have been LDS for my entire life, which I love. When I was around 11 I started babysitting for some families in my church and I still absolutly love it! I love to be around little kids because of their optimistic outlook in life and how happy they are. I am really involved in my school's FFA (Future Farmers of America) and am currently our chapter's vice president. I never expected to enjoy FFA, but I discovered that it's really something I have a passion for. I also really really love Disney and I (not so) secretly wish I could be a princess :)

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because i know, without a doubt, that our church is true. I've read the Book of Mormon and I've recieved an answer for myself that it is the word of God. Being a member of this church makes me so happy on this earth and I know that after this life it will bring me eternal happiness. I cannot imagine my life without the gospel and I am so thankful for the testimony that I have. Because of the gospel I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that He died for my sins. I know that Christ died for me personally and that through the atonement I can return to live with my Father in Heaven someday. The gospel brings me so much comfort and joy. I know that my Heavenly Father loves me and that He has a plan for me, which is very reassuring during hard times in my life. I also know that my family is eternal and that there is life after death which provides me with much comfort.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending seminary everyday and serving those around me. Seminary is a class for high school students where we learn about the gospel. It is, no question, the very best part of my day and gives me the spiritual boost that I need. I do my best to show my love of Christ to those around me by acting the way Christ would, serving whenever I can and just being genuinly kind to people. I also have the oppurtunity to serve as the Laurel class (group of girls ages 16-18) 1st counselor, so I am consistently working with the other girls in the presidency to meet the needs of the girls in our class and do our best to serve them. I live my faith by making decisions based on what I know is right and wrong and by living the standards in the For Strength of Youth pamphlet. Sometimes its hard to maintain these standards, but I know that they bring me closer to my Savior and to returning to Him. Every day I am striving to be the best person I can be, to make my Father in Heaven proud and to be worthy to enter into the temple someday.
