Hi I'm Mikaela

I work as a Veterinary Technician. I come from a very large and animated family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have worked as a Veterinary Technician for 6yrs. I started doing it as stepping stone towards human medicine but found that I liked it so much that I decided to stay! I was the main breadwinner for my husband and I while he attended college. Now he has graduated and has a job. I am happy to have had the opportunity to provide for my family but I am definitely ready to move on to the next chapter in life...being a mother! I come from a very large family. I am the youngest of 6 children, then with step and half siblings there are 11 of us. Most of my siblings have children and I love all my nieces and nephews. I can't wait to give them more cousins!

Why I am a Mormon

Family is the most important thing to me. I love my family more than I can express. I look up to them and admire them for so many different reasons. I have watched them lead their lives and raise their children. It hasn't always been easy, there have definitely been ups and downs. But they have always been able to pull through and I think its partly because we have each others back no matter what. But the main reason is because we have the gospel in our lives. We know the importance of family and what our Father in Heaven and Savior have done for us so that we can always be together. Yes, I was born into the church. So people may say that the only reason why I go to church now is because my parents told me to. That is very wrong. There were a few years where I did not attend church, I held myself back. But there came a point in my life where I felt something was missing. It took me a little bit but I came to realize that it was the gospel that I was missing. I have a testimony of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Saints on my own. I know that I am a daughter of God and he loves me. Jesus Christ lives and he is my Savior. I love having that knowledge in my life. And that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church meetings and fulfilling my church callings. When I was asked to be the Relief Society chorister and I had never led music in my life. But I know that the music that we sing in church helps to bring the spirit and I am grateful to be able to help with that. I also live my faith by spending time with and loving my family each day.
