Hi I'm Leslie

I grew up in So. California. I'm the 4th of 7 children and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother with two sons. I have worked in many different fields and I've loved them all. I have worked in lending, retail, and community services with a local food bank. Plus I've worked side by side with my husband in two businesses. One was a hardware store and now we own a bakery. I have even driven school bus at one time. It was fun to get paid to be with my kids on some of their field trips. I have now been married for 23 years. I love gardening, reading, ice skating, cooking and so much more. The world is a beautiful place and I feel priviledged to have lived in some beautiful areas.

Why I am a Mormon

I have found comfort, strength and peace by following the teachings of Jesus Christ. My life has been riddled with many challenges, but my life changed the day that I knew that God was real. I was walking across the school commons at the tender age of thirteen. I had been pondering upon if there really was a God and if He knew me. Then I had the most amazing feeling wash over me - from the top of my head to the tips of my toes and I knew without a shadow of a doubt that God was real. Hand in hand with that, I knew that HE knew, that I knew He was real. Followed by the knowledge that He loved me and was aware of me and my troubles. That was the moment that my quest evolved. I knew that I needed to discover other spiritual truths for myself. That is one of the greatest blessings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that if I put in the effort to study, learn, and put the scriptures to the test. I will at some point recieve an additional testimony. A real personal revelation about concepts of the gospel. I also know that anyone, and I mean anyone can recieve these same revelations. You don't have to take my word for it and I don't want you to take my word for it. You can truely find out for yourself if God loves YOU. I continue to learn and grow and understand ideas at a deep level as I work on applying good principles in my daily life. I've searched whether or not I feel like I'm being restricted or held back from living a fun, or fulfilled life by obeying the law as taught by my Savior. I have discovered to my joy that "No, The truth will truely make you free." Not free of accountability, but gives a clear concious. A clear vision. A clear goal. A clear path that leads to lasting happiness and joy, not mere momentary pleasure. I have integrity. I strive to continue to remove hypocrasy and I am happy with the visage I see in the mirror every morning. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith every day of my life, not just Sunday. I participate in school fundraisers. I volunteer with teaching children in Sunday School. I give bread and treats to the hungry and homeless. Sometimes directly - sometimes thru the food bank. I don't feel I can talk the talk with out walking the walk with my faith. I have volunteered 8yrs to the Cub Scouts and there is nothing better than seeing little boys grow into responsible young men. I love it. I have been given so much, that I must return what I can, where I can. and the positive reinforcement is instantanious. I feel so good when I give of myself. I brings me joy and happiness to lend a hand.
