Hi I'm Joy

I'm a wife, a mom. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest daughter of a lage LDS family. I grow up in a small farming town, on a dairy. I was a Aunt the year i truned 5 and love kids. I meet my non-member Husband my senior year of High School. While I was at collage he decied to be baptized and a year after that we were married in the buliding we both were baptized in. Four kids, a dozen of moves and 12 years of marrige. We are still together and going up and down. The kids and I are still tying to remined him that he choice to be baptized and that we all want to be together forever.

Why I am a Mormon

I am not a person of many words and my testimony is simple and found in the LDS Hymn book. I know the my Redeemer lives. What comfort this sweet sentence gives!.........He lives to bless me with his love,,,,He lives my hungry soul to feed. He lives to bless me in time of need. He lives to guide me with his eye... He lives to comfort me when faint. He ives to hear my soul complant. He lives to silence all my fears. He lives to wipe away my tears. He lives and I shall conquer death. He lives my mansion to prepare. He lives to bring me safely there. I know I will see and be with my family again after death and Hope that I will have my family with me there. I know the hole Gosple is here on earth again and that Jesus died for me. Amen

How I live my faith

I was just relesed from years in the childrens program(18 moths -3 yrs) Nursrey, I love to teach kids. They are so little and you know that you tought them somthing good when their face lights up in delight in knowing the answer. I love the Ladies I visit teach, they are mothers and know the trials of teaching kids in todays world. No matter what my kids knows that church is were we are to be at on Sunday and now that thy are getting older other days of the week to be with kids their age.

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

Visitors are aways welcome. Meeting may sound long but the 3 hour time is broken up into 3 major "classes" First that the Buckeye buliding The whole family meets together in Sacarment... All are welcome to come in and find a seat. We open the meeting with a Pray and then sing a few songs...the men and young men bless and pass the Bread and water to all that would will to partake. After that time is over the youth and children 18 months to 18 years old go and meet in there smaller classes and the Adults meet for Sunday school...we are taught by a memeber of the congeration that has been asked to do so. And then after that meeting time is over , the men and woman split unti their seperate class the woman with women and the men with the men, We each have a shot lesson and then the meeting time is up. The meeting are at 8am &10:30 and 1 pm for the buliding on Eason Ave, Buckeye,AZ Show more Show less
