Hi I'm Caroline

I'm a sister, I'm country girl from the city, I'm left handed, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 18 years old and just about to head of to Brigham Young University in the fall. I am from the Pacific Northwest but my roots are in the South. I have an old fashioned soul, and find the most pleasure in the simple parts of life; my family, my friends, my dog, traveling, nature, music, food, reading and of course the Gospel. Even though I have a lot of designated "favorites" I have a really open mind and I can appreciate different points of views and ways of life. That's one the many beautiful things about where I grew up, there is so much diversity here. I love the outdoors, hiking, horseback riding, running, and pretty much all sports. Living a healthy and active lifestyle is really important to me. I want so badly to help others and make a difference in this world.

Why I am a Mormon

I decided early in my life that I was not going to dedicate my whole life to something that I didn't really believe was true. Even though I was raised in the church I decided not to just blindly follow what I was told so instead I put the Gospel to the test by strictly following its teachings and principles. Through this process I have come to know for my self that the Gospel is true! I found that living its principles is the way to true happiness. I have read The Book of Mormon, prayed about it, and felt the undeniable power of its truth. I can see God's hand everywhere around me. In all of my favorite things, in music, my dog, the face of my little brother, everywhere. If I just sit still and think about the Gospel I feel such a strong sense of peace and happiness. I know God loves me and that Jesus Christ loves me; that he died for my sins so that I someday I will be able to return home to him.

How I live my faith

I am a true believer in the scripture "by small and simple things, great things come to pass." That is how I live my faith. It's easy to feel really small and insignificant in such a big world full of so many people and problems but I believe I make a big difference everyday just by doing the "simple things." I go to church each week and serve as a youth group leader, I go the extra mile when helping out around the house, I make friends with the friendless, I avoid gossip, I sing the hymns, I give out lots of sincere compliments, and I smile as much as I can.
