Hi I'm Malorie

I'm a teenager, a sister, a friend, and a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Mormon and a teenager. I love having fun! I love being crazy and talking to random people. I love serving people, hanging out with my friends, going to seminary, listening to music, playing my flute, hiking, camping, photography, baking, eating lots and lots of chocolate, and being a sophmore in high school. I am the oldest of six children, and I was raised in the Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have a testimony that Jesus is my Savior and Reedeemer. I know he died for me. I know he knows me personally, and has felt my pains and exsperianced my trials. I know the Lord restored his church to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that Thomas S. Monson is God's servant now. My testimony and the knowledge i get from going to church, seminary, and mutual gives me the strength I need to endure life. It also gives me a purpose for the things I do. And I have gained a great love for all people that I would not have if I did not know that we are all children of God with a divine potential. I recently read the entire Book of Mormon straight through, and it confirmed for me the truthfulness of the Gospel.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be a light to the world. I try to follow Christ's example in my daily choices at school and work and in church classes. At school some of my friends often are confused or lonely or in need of comfort, and I can share my faith in Christ to help them feel better. One of my very close, but non-mormon friends got so depressed she began cutting herself and even considered suicide. I was able to help her feel the love of Christ and find courage and comfort in Him. Another non-mormon friend of mine recently had a childhood friend discover a terminal desease. She was having a hard time coping with the fact that at any time this other friend could pass away. I was able to comfort her with my knowledge of the Plan of Salvation and life after death. Part of being in High School is having trials and temptations. but when my life is centered on Jesus Christ, it seems much easier to resist the daily pressures of drugs, gossip, pornography, bad music, cussing, immodesty, etc. At church I serve as the MiaMaid President. As part of this calling I am responsible to help the girls in my ward boundaries, wheather LDS, or not, to find our Saviour. I also try to help support the MiaMaids to give them courage to stand strong in the gospel.

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?
