Hi I'm Jessica

I love to try new things! I play instruments, sports, read, write, draw, photography, etc and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am fun-loving, sarcastic, spontaneous, and love a challenge. I'm am student and headed off to BYU- Idaho. I play instruments and sports. I also read, write, draw, do photography and try new things! I am adopted into a large family so I am number 12 out of 13! I was converted to the gospel at a young age and have been waiting until I am old enough to serve a mission- about half a year to go!! I plan to get married worthily in the temple and have a family. I am studying psychology and criminology in hopes of becoming a CIA agent or a criminal profiler.

Why I am a Mormon

"I am not Christian because I am strong and have it all together. I am a Christian because I am weak and admit I need a Savior." This quote shows one of the main reasons I am Mormon. I went to other churches before I was introduced to the Mormon or LDS church. My biological family had been anti-Mormon for no apparent reason and they were upset with me checking into it. I didn't even care, once I set foot into the building it already had a different feel to it, something I had not experienced before. From then on everything happened so fast- the missionary discussions and eventually my baptism. I read the Book of Mormon- and realized how true it was as another testament of Jesus Christ, going hand-in-hand with the bible. Once I had read Moroni 10:4-5 and prayed about it I knew it was true. I jumped up and exclaimed that I needed to be baptized! Sadly, I had to wait until the next time the missionaries came to tell them, but I was baptized soon after. Everything seems to fall into place as I put Christ in the center of my life. In the Mormon church they have the fullness, whereas other churches seem to have bits and pieces and conflicting statements. I have not lost my passion for the gospel and am preparing to serve a full-time mission, so I can help those come to the gospel as I had. Not saying it's always easy, but I will continue to try- if I mess up I will repent, and try to do better. "I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it."

How I live my faith

A simple way I show my faith is by living it. It isn't something you do per say it is something that is apart of you, that you are constantly converted and becoming better each and every day. I mean there are obvious ways you can live it, by reading the scriptures, praying, dressing modestly, and things of that nature; it is another thing to constantly put Christ as the center of your life. This is a less visible way I live my faith, but I know that everything seems to fall into place. I repent and take advantage of the blessed Atonement Christ has done for us so I can come away cleaner ad happier. I am asked many times how i am so happy, the answer is simple, I have something to be happy about- I am able to live with my Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ again- who wouldn't be happy knowing this?
