Hi I'm Kathi

I grew up on the beaches of Southern California, I just LOVE horses, I'm a Realtor, I'm a Mom of 3 and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm in the middle of my life blessed with two adult kids, but a mother of 3. My daughter is 20, my son is 18 and my first son was called home at age 9 weeks 5 days. I've been married for almost 28 years to the love of my life & my best friend. I've lived on the west coast my whole life, never more than 30 minutes from the Pacific ocean. I love to walk the beach in the morning hours when it's empty. I have a passionate love of animals that has lead my home to become a zoo over the years. I love to sew and design new rooms in my home. Seeing the room come together with paint, furnishings & fabric thrills me! I'm a Girl Scout too. Earned every badge available growing up and darn proud of it! I volunteered at the high school booster club and loved to run the concession stand. I love dressing up and going out to the local theater shows. I adore fashion and being a girl.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up with my parents, brother and sister I went to church every Sunday and loved church. I attended youth group during the week when I was a teenager and then we moved to Oregon. I met my husband there. We moved our family to Seattle and in December of 2001 we attended the local Latter Day Saint church service. I felt so comfortable and a warm sense of joy that day, however, I was stubborn and it took 6 months of teaching and learning for me to understand that this church was what I'd been looking for. I felt so close to my Savior when I was at church and reading the Book of Mormon. I finally listened to my heart instead of my head and a little voiced whispered I was home. I was baptized at age 38, proof that old dogs can learn new tricks! I've loved my membership in Christ's church and feel closer to him each and every day. I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

Currently I serve our church members as an Activity director. I plan, along with my husband, fun events that as many as 500 members attend to socialize, eat and have fun. We planned a romantic dinner dance for couples this spring and had so much fun with a live band and all! We had so much fun hosting a Day of Service project recently where 300+ members of the community came together to work on our local high school grounds gardening together. The day was a wonderful experience for all ages from 6 months to 90 years. I love going to see my fellow sisters to teach them the gospel each month and check in on their families. I love that this church gives me instant friendship and family anywhere in the world. We attend church on vacation in some of the most beautiful places in the world. We attended a Maui, Hawaii ward with our kids and the members were so fun and welcoming. Hearing about Christ in Hawaiian and Japanese was a kick. We could tell what they were saying just by the earnestness in their voices. Charming! I just love how this church is the same world wide. I have had so many opportunities to recognize how my relationship with my Savior is growing stronger and stronger. The blessing that have come to my are too numerous to count, but I know that they come with my membership. He is proud of me and I can feel it daily. This church fills my bucket so I can fill others. I love to serve and this church, His church, gives me so many ways to give back to Christ. I know this is HIS church, the one HE has restored to the earth, the church of HIS original Priesthood. I know that I will be eternally linked with the son I lost early in his life through the sacred ordinances give us by a loving Heavenly Father. I know I can return to His side by living his gospel. I am excited to share that same opportunity with the rest of the world and I burn with a desire to do so!
