Hi I'm Carter

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a husband and father to 5 children (2 boys, and 3 girls). I am the Chief Financial officer for a not-for-profit corporation. I enjoy hiking, camping, fishing and collecting coins.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ fulfills me in every way. I feel happy to have been given such a chance at a wonderful life and to pursue meaningful activities that will help lead me back home to my Father in Heaven. I am a Mormon, because I believe that God still speaks to man. He loves us and continues to guide us. The gospel gives me purpose, direction, and encouragement to be the man I want to be. To be the best father, the best husband, and best man for all those that I come in contact with. I am a Mormon because I believe that my family relationship can continue into the eternities. I am a Mormon because God answers prayers and has confirmed through his Holy Spirit that he lives, that he loves me, and that the scriptures are true. I am a Mormon because I believe that faith in Jesus Christ requires a commitment to living a life that values Charity, Chastity, and Hope in Life Everlasting.

How I live my faith

I am a Bishop for the church. I spend many nights counseling with member about their struggles, both temporal and spirtual, and try to help guide them to make changes in their lives by using the scriptures (Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine & Covenants) as a guide that is still applicable today. I also am a licensed trainer for Bridges out of Poverty and spend time in the community voluntarily teaching community members so that they are more understanding and sympathetic to the plight of the impoverished. I also train community members business coaching techniques and how to better understand themselves, their employees, and their customers. I have volunteered and served on several boards including, The Girl Scouts, Worforce Board, Friends of our local School District. I take the opportunity to talk about my relationship with Jesus Christ and live my life in a way that testifies of his influence on me. I love to answer questions about the gospel and am friendly and open to discussions about any and all religious philosophies. Our teachings tell us that we all are children of a loving Father in Heaven and that we have much to learn from each other. I do not judge others for their beliefs and respect them for their faithfulness to their own religions. I expect others to show me the same respect. Many of my favorite discussion are with my friends that are Catholic, or Protestant, Baptist, etc. I advocate for open honest discussions and will share my heartfelt belief that the only path that will lead to Heaven is through the atonement of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
