Hi I'm Samantha

I am a young mom. I am a student at BYU-I. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am getting my formal education at BYU-Idaho, and then all the other tough lessons are coming from just life! I am young mom of a one year old, and pregnant with number 2. I love the smell of a campfire, and the feeling of accomplishment after a hike. I absolutely love capturing a beautiful moment and being able to hold it forever; so I do photography whenever I can! I am married to an incredible man, who is just as excited about being a parent as I am. Motherhood excites me, more than anything!

Why I am a Mormon

I like to observe those around me, and always have. Doing so I have realized that being a Mormon works. The families that I have seen live the teachings that are taught, they work. The individuals I have seen implement principles in their lives it works. But more importantly it is not just functioning it is joyful! As I have stayed true to my religion, I have found an immense sense of happiness. I was born and raised in the Church, but that is not why I am a Mormon. My mother was not going to raise robot children, so I had to find out for myself. I have been converted; and I know this is the true Church, it brings too much happiness to not be.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a personal and a community affair. On a personal level, I study the scriptures and the words the living prophet, and pray to my Father in Heaven. I also attend my church meetings. Within my family, my husband and I pray together and also set aside one night a week (Mondays) to study, laugh, talk, and enjoy each other. As far as the community or within our wards I serve in the Relief Society presidency. Part of my responsibilities is to assist the president in looking out for the sisters in our ward both physically and spirituality. I also am assigned, along with another woman, to visit 2 other woman in the ward every month. We are to befriend them, and be a support to them.
