Hi I'm Nicole

I live in Texas and I have a wonderful husband and three awesome children and 4 step children and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am in my 40's and live with my wonderful husband. I have raised three wonderful children. Our youngest just left home and we are all alone now. I enjoy working with the youth. I graduated from a Police Academy and went on to work in a Juvenile Boot Camp. I enjoyed every minute. I also taught Seminary at 6 am for almost 2 years. I learned how important our youth are, while finding myself learning the gospel all over again. I love to bake, that is my hobby, it takes me away from all the worries of the world. I love to help others and i especially love to see all my students reach there goals. that has brought me so much joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I have chosen to be a Mormon because i have seen the blessings it has brought to my parents, friends and loved one's. I left the gospel for a short time, and when i returned did my best to learn by seeking the Lord's help thru prayer, scripture study and going to church. I know this gospel is true. I have a deep love for the Lord and all he has done for us. I know Joseph Smith was called to restore the gospel on this earth. I know that we are called of God to follow and learn and teach others of his truth. I love the Book of Mormon. It has been a light when in the dark and a guide to my happiness as well as the Bible. I have learned from them both. I love to go to the Temple where i can be in my Heavenly Father's home. Where i can feel even more of his blessings. I love the plan of Salvation, where i know that i will one day be with my family again. I say this with all my love and hope in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

Well to start, I do my very best to live the gospel in my home. I go to Church on Sunday. I have been called to serve the children from 18 months to 12 years. I also serve as a Visiting Teacher, where I go and visit with sisters that have been assigned to me. I visit them once a month with a message and see if there is anything we can do for them. I love that part. I also help out where i can. I also dance in a group of older women. we dance Ballet Folklorico and we perform when asked for all church's, events etc in the community.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Nicole
First you must, have the desire to truely know for yourself, then you pray and ask for specific things. Read the scriptures, invite the missionaries over to get the basic understanding of the gospel and pray again. Ask the Lord if it's true. He say's to test him. So do so. Then finally, follow your heart and then share what you have learned as you practice what you have learned. Show more Show less

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

Nicole
No, we are able to help others. for example, when i lived in another country for sometime, we had a service day where we went and helped the town clean a park. we also help anyone in need. We have helped all over the world and as part of a woman's organization, we have made personal hygiene packets to send out to others in need. Show more Show less
