Hi I'm Jonathon Solomon

I am a music major at Ball State University, I play french horn, I love music, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently Studying music technology at Ball State University. I play both french horn and trumpet. I have 3 brothers. I lived in Brazil for two years and I love to snowboard.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe that God is the same yesterday today and tomorrow. In Old Testament times God always called men to be his servants, and these men were called prophets. Through out the Old Testament these prophets acted as God's messenger's to his children. And the Mormon church has given the knowledge that God calls prophets again today that leads and guides us. I receive great comfort from the fact that God loves me so much that he would call a prophet to help me return and live with him. I am so grateful for the atoning sacrifice of my savior, Jesus Christ. Through his sacrifice and obedience to his gospel, I know that I can be forgiven of my sins and one day I can return to live in the presence of my heavenly father, with all those that I love. I know that the Mormon church is the true church of Jesus Christ, and that is why I am a Mormon!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to help others be the best that they can be. I want nothing more than to see all my friends and family as happy as I am. I know that this is only possible through the atoning power of our Savior, Jesus Christ. I have had many responsibilities at church that allows me to work with those who are familiar with the Mormon church as well as those who are not. I try hard to strengthen their testimonies and help them in any way possible. From July 2009 to July 2011 I served as a missionary to the wonderful people in Santa Catarina, Brazil. It was an amazing experience. While there I had the opportunity to work with and serve some of the most incredible people I have ever met. I helped them build houses, learn English, and taught them about the plan that our Father in Heaven has for them.

What is being a Mormon like?

Jonathon Solomon
Being a Mormon is the most incredible feeling you can imagine. Think of the happiest day of your life. Imagine feeling like that always. That's what it's like to be Mormon. Now don't get me wrong we have our problems just like everyone else. But with the help of the Holy Ghost we can always feel the joy that comes from the knowledge that our Heavenly Father loves us. And these feelings sustain us in our lives. Being a Mormon is like being a normal person. We watch TV and movies, play video games, and all the things that normal people do. We strive to fill our lives with uplifting and edifying entertainment, but we like to have fun like everyone else. I personally love to play soccer!!! Show more Show less
