Hi I'm Stephen.

The gospel of Jesus Christ brings me immeasurable blessings in my life and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I came to Hawaii from Seoul, Korea when I was 18. While at the college (BYUH), I had awesome experiences working at the Polynesian Cultural Center learning about Polynesian heritage and sharing that with the tourists who visited the center - the best part of the job was the chance to wear a lava-lava while working. When I turned 19, I served a mission for my church in Chicago, Illinois. I have been happily married to my sweetheart for 20 years and we have four wonderful children. I work at a great company in the international business field in the Greater Seattle area. I enjoy going camping, hiking, fishing, and meeting new friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka Mormon Church) in Seoul, Korea when I was 15. I was unhappy, yet seeking some sort of light and truth and perhaps a purpose in life. Though I wasn’t particularly religious prior to joining the church, I visited some different denominations of other churches. But it was when I met with the Mormon missionaries, my faint belief in Jesus was kindled as I learned of His love and His justice for all mankind which encircles all demographical, geographical, and all other limitations including the people who never had a chance to hear the Gospel. His gospel is for me, my family, my relatives, and my ancestors who never had a chance to hear it. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is real and so universal – it is for everyone. This church has the fullness of our Savior’s teachings. That’s why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

My goal in life is to try to live a Christ-centered life and share His teachings with my family, friends, and neighbors. When I put Christ first in my life, I know I can become a better person.
