Hi I'm Wes

I'm a husband, a father, a grandfather, a retired firefighter, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a father of two and stepfather of six, with seventeen grandchildren. I babysit a lot. I love to garden. My amazing wife takes excellent care of me. It's her that makes it possible for us to live on a lake that has beautiful sunsets and sunrises.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 22 my wife and I decided to search for a religion. We weren't too active in our search, but one day some Sister missionaries knocked on our door and we set up an appointment. As we met I realized that these Sisters actually believed what they taught. I then began to study the Book of Mormon more fervently, and after praying I felt very strongly that this book was true and that what it taught about Christ was sound. My wife and I discussed these things and I decided to make steps to baptism. We joined the Church on October 31, 1964.

How I live my faith

I give service in the Church as an assistant in the High Priest Group. I occasionally go out with the local missionaries and help them. I try to help my family with kindness and love. I honor my Lord and Savior, and testify of him. I obey the laws of the land. I honor and love my wife by giving her support in her endeavors. I also strive to uplift others.
