Hi I'm Josh

I wrestle, I love water sports, struggling college student, I'm EXCITED, I'm married to a beautiful daughter of God, I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I'm married to Cassandra Gonzales, she is my everything. We actually met doing missionary work after my mission. We were sealed for eternity in the Bountiful temple June 27 2014. I'm a poor but happy college student I'm the oldest out of 6 siblings. I love hanging out with Cassie's and my family. I still play card games like MTG. I work for Discover Card and am starting my own family with the love of my life but still in a basement apartment (NOT HER PARENT'S OR MINE) ;-)

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony is centered on my savior Jesus Christ. He is the Son of God. And He has organized a church under him for us to learn... this is how I found it. I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. I have been learning more and more each year of my life. I am also strengthening my testimony every day. But, as everyone does, I needed to learn for myself that this was the true church. The Holy Ghost has touched me in a way that I cannot deny that Joseph Smith was/is a prophet of God. I just can't deny it. I have read the Book of Mormon and I know that it is inspired work that Joseph translated through the power of God. The only way to find all this out is to pray and ask God specifically. When we ask specific questions, we will receive specific answers. I asked and I received!

How I live my faith

I try to do a little bit better than yesterday, do a little bit better tomorrow, and do the best I can now. The Prophet said if we continue waiting for tomorrow, we will look back and find a lot of empty yesterdays. We don't live in the Future, we don't live in the past, we live now. I plan on making it the best I can so I can have a lot of amazing memories. Then I will plan for a great tomorrow. I also try to cut worry out of my life. My mission president said that worry the the number one most human wasted emotion. your brain doesn't know the difference between reality and what you worry about, why deal with a problem a million times. If I have to face a problem, I only want to face it once. Jesus Christ said to Peter "When thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren". This knowledge of happiness needs to be brought to all the world. I have friends and co-workers too that don't have this, I love them very much and I want them to have the same joys that I have.

Who founded Mormonism and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

Josh
Joseph Smith was a 14 year old boy in 1820 who wanted to know the truth of which church was true. For they all clamed it. In the Bible, James 1:5, he read "If any one of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God". Joseph took this to heart. He asked and he recieved. God and Jesus Christ came to him while he was praying in a grove of trees. They said none were correct. God restored His true Church to the earth through Joseph Smith. This is when missionary work stared and many were called to help others come unto Christ Fully. This is what I am doing now. I am a missionary and my goal is to bring all souls unto Christ through faith in Jesus Christ and His atonement, repentance, baptism, recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end. In order to know that this is the only true church, you must first learn of Joseph Smith. You must feel the Holy Goast tell your soul so that you cannot deny it. In order to know if Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, you can know through the Book of Mormon. If the Book of Mormon is true, than Joseph Smith was and is a prophet of God. An if he was and is a prophet of God, than this is truely the restored Gosple here on the earth. The same as the one Jesus Christ established during his ministry. Show more Show less

What is faith?

Josh
Faith is a verb. You can believe that there is light at the end of the tunnel, but you arn't going to get there if you don't stand up and start walking. If you have faith to move a mountain, you will pray that the mountain be moved then go and work shovel full by shovel full. we have been asked to "Pray like it depends on God" and to "Work like it depends on us" Only until after the trial of you faith is when it can really be called faith.
