Hi I'm Amy.

I'm an Arizona native and I love my state. Going swimming on hot days is one of my favorite things to do. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I graduated with a Finance degree a few years ago and right now I'm working for an Investment Company. I work four days a week and many of my days off are spent trying to fix up and decorate a house I bought a couple years ago. I've discovered I'm not very handy, but I'm learning! I recently learned how to paint and distress wood furniture and I re-did my bedroom furniture set which turned out pretty well! I am now on the lookout for a good deal on old dining room furniture I can fix up. I like having people over and I'm excited for the day when I don't have to explain that my house is still a work in progress.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon, but that's not why I am a Mormon today. I continue to remain active in the gospel because I have had personal witnesses of it's truthfulness throughout my life. I have always strongly felt that we all have a Father in Heaven who is aware of each and every one of us and I have felt a strong connection with Him through the ups and downs of life. I know that God has a plan for me and for each of us. There are so many reasons to become discouraged as we struggle through life, but when I think about the gospel and try to maintain an eternal perspective, I am filled with hope, joy, and peace. I know that it is all made possible through Jesus Christ, and I am very grateful for the happiness this knowledge has brought to my life. I also love that the gospel is so simple and makes so much sense!

How I live my faith

To me, one of the greatest ways I can live my faith is by serving others. I am certainly not perfect at this, but when I can, I love to help people. There are always opportunities to do this, both in and out of the church and I love it when we partner with different organizations to help other in the community. I am also very active in my ward and love opportunities to visit members of the ward just to catch up and see how things are going for them. In the past, I've taught Sunday lessons from the scriptures or about a specific gospel principle which I also love to do.
