Hi I'm Mike

I love Johnny Cash, peanut butter, and surfing and skating, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have had a good first 20 years of my life so far. I was born in California but my family moved to St. Geaorge in Southern Utah when i was a baby. I love my family, I'm the middle child of 5 kids, two older sisters and a younger sister, and i was stoked when i finally got a little brother. We lived in Utah for the most part of my life, moving around from place to place but eventually we decided to ship out to Hawaii. It's been a dream of ours to live in Hawaii and thanks to the support of our extended family and by the blessings of the Lord we were able to make our dreams a reality. My mom and dad at the time were separated, so my siblings and I flew to Hawaii with our mom. We found a place right on the beach in Laie on Oahu. We made good, life-long friends in Laie. I got a job on a ranch nearby and had fun learning all sorts of stuff that has to do with cows and horses, but spent most of the time fixing "pukas" or holes in fences and putting up new ones. Digging holes is now a stress reliever for me haha. I had the time of my life on the ranch. I also got into surfing and did that as much as i could, and made good friends along the way. I'm now on a full time two year mission in Spokane. I'm learning so much and am so grateful for this opportunity to share the living Gospel of Jesus Christ with all those around me.

Why I am a Mormon

Ultimately, I am a Mormon because the Book of Mormon is true and contains the word of God. I read it for the first time as a young teenager and it left a strong impression on my soul. The book is full of doctrine and promises, and warnings of the consequenses of sin, but shows in rich detail the hope of salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ, by virtue of His Atoning Sacrifice. I've read and reread the book several times, always coupling my study with prayer and can say that the book is true and that it was brought forth by the power of God, and that Joseph Smith is a true Prophet.

How I live my faith

I do my best. There's so much to learn from the scriptures, and so much we can improve on every day. I love to hear the Prophet Thomas Monson speak and strive to follow his counsel to love one another and do service for others continually. The Saviour led a completely selfless life, devoting all of His time and energy to the service of others. His final and last Sacrifice was the greatest act of service ever! I try to give back by being kind to others, doing service in any way, and diligently fulfilling my duties. As a missionary I have the duty to share the Gospel. The Lord has blessed me my entire life, and continues to bless me and my family. I'll always be indebted so i try to do all I can to serve Him and to be a worthy representative of Him!
