Hi I'm Erik White

Athlete, Phi Kappa Phi member, Missionary. I even know how to Salsa dance. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’m the baby of the family. I was born and raised in Murray, Utah where I’ve been very active in sports, community programs, and school. Track and Field and Football are some of my favorite sports but get me active and I’ll be happy. I’ve worked quite a few jobs but have spent a lot of time being a student to have completed three years of college (SLCC and UVU). I like ice-cream. Before serving a mission I would hang out with friends to do anything active, date, and have fun. Now I have an opportunity to talk to random strangers (funniest experiences in my life) and teach them about how the Atonement and Gospel of Jesus Christ can improve their lives and make them happy. Who doesn’t want that?!

Why I am a Mormon

I’m a Mormon because of my loving family and great friends. I was baptized when I was eight years old, but don’t remember much of it except that I was really happy. I knew I was doing what was right. Until recently I have been borrowing the light and testimony of others, taking for granted the blessing that were before me. It wasn’t until I really had a desire to know if what I’d learned and heard all my life was true or not that I developed my own testimony. It wasn’t until after much pondering and fasting (and a lot of prayers from others) did I receive my answer that it was all true. I’m truly grateful for the Holy Ghost revealing an undeniable answer to me. Since then I’ve been striving to follow the example of Jesus Christ. As I’ve done so there has been more peace, direction and strength in my life than ever before. I’m a Mormon because that’s what Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and Holy Ghost has lead me to be. I'd highly recommend it.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following. I was told that the best leader is the best follower, Jesus Christ being the best example. He followed His Father (John 5:19). I strive to follow the best examples around me; whether it’s from friends, family, peers, etc., everyone knows something that I don’t. Even though I’m far from perfect I strive to KNOW what things I should DO in order to become the person that I should BE. Currently I’m a full time Missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which allows me to live the way that He would have me live.
