Hi I'm Matt

I was born in California, raised in Utah. I'm one of twelve in my family, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am in the middle of my brothers and sisters. There are four girls and eight boys. I enjoy hanging out with them. We do things like play sword fights with sticks, play video games, and walk to the store. My family moved from Utah to California for about two years, had me, then moved back. I enjoy reading books, fantasy and history mostly, riding my bike, whether to work or just around the block, and going to church functions.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints because it is the true and living church of Jesus Christ in these latter days, or last days. I was raised in the church, but as everyone must gain their own testimony, so did I. My testimony in part is as follows: God lives. He loves each and every one of us. Jesus is the Christ. Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. He translated(or changed from one language to another) the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon is true. I read from it every day and the peace it brings into my life I wouldn't trade for anything this world has to offer. These things are true.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving as a home teaching superviser; which means I help people visit families they are assigned to visit and teach. Mostly I call and encourage them to visit their families, sometimes I will go with them and help that way. I love serving those around me. I love seeing the joy that comes from selfless service. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has brought me joy and happiness which I want to share with my brothers and sisters.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

They will teach you about Jesus Christ and His Atonement. They will teach you how to make and keep sacred covanents or promises with God. They will teach you what make the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints differant from all the other churches out in the world. Show more Show less

Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

He is the king of kings the Lord of Lords. He loves us. He lived and died and lives again. It is through Him that I can return to my Father and gain everlasting life. He set the perfect example and showed us the way in which we need to walk. His gospel is first to have faith in Him. Repent. Follow His example and be baptized by one holding His authority. Recieve the Gift of the Holy Ghost. And Endure faithfully to the end. This is why Jesus Christ is important. He is the Son of the living God. Show more Show less
