Hi I'm Matt

I grew up in Oregon. I'm an accountant. I live by the beach. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Oregon for most of my life. I am the oldest of four kids. I love playing basketball. I attended college at Brigham Young University in Provo. After my freshman year of college I served a two year full time mission in Santiago, Chile. I developed a deep love and respect for the Chilean people while there and I hope I can visit there again soon someday. After my mission I finished up school in Utah and now I am working at an accounting firm in the Orange County area.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I have a firm belief/testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ and His restored Gospel. Ever since I was very young I began to read the Bible and Book of Mormon. In my teenage years I had the opportunity after finishing reading the Book of Mormon to know if the book was true. I prayed to our Heavenly Father and asked him to let me know if what I had read was true. Since that prayer I have received numerous moments of confirmation in my life where I have felt inside my heart that the book is true, and that Jesus is the Christ, that He will come again, and that if we follow the Gospel plan that He has layed out for us that we can have eternal life and live in His presence once again. There is no doubt in my mind that these things are true.

How I live my faith

I attend Church every Sunday at a Church nearby where I live. I am a teacher/instructor and have the opportunity to prepare lessons and teach members of my Church every month. I also read the scriptures and pray on a daily basis. That helps me to feel closer to my Savior. Lastly, I also enjoy attending several of the activities that the Church puts on during the week. I have made so many new friends at BBQ's, playing basketball, and other events that the Church has put on.
