Hi I'm Sarah

I am world traveler and adventurer. I love to read and listen to music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to travel! I lived in Taiwan teaching English and it was an amazing experience. I live for the next trip to exciting new places and the great people I will meet. I also love camping, hiking, biking, scuba diving and anything that gets my blood pumping! One of my favorite adventures so far was a trek in the northern hills of Thailand and we stayed with the local hill tribe, slept in bamboo huts and rode elephants. I currently work for a social work agency helping parents develop loving relationships with their babies and I love it! I spend my free time reading, listening to great music, hiking, camping, biking and having fun!

Why I am a Mormon

Everything about the gospel of Jesus Christ shapes and directs my life for good. I served as missionary for 18 months in Atlanta, GA., and had the privilege of working with the great people there. I shared how the gospel changes lives and brings direction, peace and true happiness. My parents divorced when I was six years old and as I went into the homes of the people, I could relate to what it's like to come from a 'broken' home. I had a message of hope and joy to share with people, and I have seen the gospel change lives. The more I witness the destruction of families and how lives are torn apart as we loose sight of what really matters, the more I am grateful for the teachings of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, and that He has a plan that if we will follow, will bring everlasting joy and happiness! He helps me overcome personal struggles and trials. My life has meaning, direction and purpose because I follow and live the teachings of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I love everything about being a Mormon! Part of how we live our faith is through attending church services every Sunday. I don't have any family living in Arizona and one of the great things about going to church is being a part of a congregational family. No matter where I have traveled in the world, whenever I find a local church I have always been welcomed with love and feel a closeness to the members there, even if it is only for a short stay as I travel. I recently moved and the feelings have been the same. The teachings of Christ help us to look outside ourselves and learn to serve others. Part of that comes through serving in the church. We are blessed with many opportunities to serve as we visit different families and make sure that everyone is looked after.
