Hi I'm Steve

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was raised in Oregon and have lived in Utah, Texas and Indiana. I am a college graduate and have worked in the Financial Services industry for the past 18 years. I like to travel and have been privilaged to visit many countries around the world including Japan, Korea, England, Mexico, Canada and several countries in Europe. I enjoy spending time with my family, playing and watching sports, the outdoors, listening to music of all kinds and tinkering around the house and yard. I am a Husband, married to my beautiful bride for over 28 years, a father of 5 wonderful children, a heart attack survivor, a son of god, I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

There are many reasons for why I am a Mormon; I am a Mormon because through diligent study, pondering and praying I have received an undeniable witness that the fullness of God’s gospel is on the earth today and is found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, also called Mormons. I am a Mormon because as Mormons “we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ…” I am a Mormon because I believe in Jesus Christ as my Savior and Redeemer and that through his Atonement all mankind may be saved. I am a Mormon because it has made me a better father, husband, friend and citizen. I am a Mormon because I believe in eternal family relationships. I am a Mormon because God is the same yesterday, today and forever and if God spoke to prophets and apostles yesterday he speaks to prophets and apostles today and prophets and apostles lead The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints today. I am a Mormon because through its teachings I know where I came from, why I am here on earth and what will happen when I leave this life. I am a Mormon because I have learned who I am and about my relationship to my Father in Heaven and his Son Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon for these and many more reasons, ask me and I will be happy to tell you more

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon is a way of life, it is not a Sunday only religion. With no paid clergy we are asked to serve and give of our time and talents. I live my faith by happily serving in assignments as asked. As a young man I served a two year mission to Japan and since that time have served in many different positions in the church. I try to live as Christ lived and do the things he taught and commanded us to do. I strive to be a good husband and father, to be honest in all my dealings, do good unto others, look out for the poor and needy, give of my time and talents in service to others, live the Golden Rule, Pray morning and night and read from the scriptures daily. I am grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ, for as hard as I try, I make too many mistakes and wrong choices and am in need of forgiveness found through the atonement of Christ.
