Hi I'm Tammy

I'm a stay at home Momma, wife to a med student, and an in home cosmetologist. I love the life I'm living. I'm a Mormon

About Me

Growing up (in Utah) I wanted to be a real life singer, on Broadway. I grew up (a little) and now I'm a real life singer to my children at night & performer to my neighbors when I have my windows open. I have always had a love for music. It evokes real feeling and emotion in my life. I notice hair, because I do hair. I appreciate ALL styles/colors/creations when it comes to hair. I'm not very 'outgoing' when it comes to my own these days, but don't think I won't walk right up to you and compliment yours if you have a multicolored mohawk, all the while wishing I had been the one to create it. My family is my life. I married my husband in 2003, baby #1 in 2009, baby #2 in 2010, and 2011 will be more of a quiet year. My crazies make me smile & if I'm doing that every day, then what more could I ask for?!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I can see/feel the love of our Heavenly Father in everything around me. I feel it every morning when my 2 year old comes and hugs me Good Morning. I see it in the smile of my little gal as she watches her big brother. His constant love is all around us. It's in a beautiful sunset, it's in an inspirational story, it can be felt in ones gloomiest hour. Our Heavenly Father's love can be found in the simplicity of every day life. We just need but look! I know that I have a Savior who believes in me and what I am capable of becoming. I know he Atoned for my sins. I know that his love is real and eternal. I know that he is a perfect example of one I hope to become like. I'm a Mormon because I feel the truth in the words and counsel from our latter day Prophet Thomas S. Monson. I believe that, at a very young and impressionable age, God the Father and his Son appeared to a boy, Joseph Smith, when he was searching for truth, just as they are felt in my life as I search for truths. I find peace in the truthfulness of the teachings. I can find peace no matter how chaotic the world gets, or my life for that matter! Heavenly Father offers that peace. Where much is given, much is required. Much is required of a Latter Day Saint. I am a Mormon because I know I need the blessings & help from my Heavenly father. I am willing to follow the teaching of this gospel, because I know the end reward is so great! I want to be with my family for all eternity. I believe my happiness isn't limited to just this life. I know that I will be able to be with my family always & when everything is said and done - that's what I want more than anything & that is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live the basic principles of this gospel. I am teaching my children right from wrong. I am trying my best to be a good Visiting Teacher. I love serving. With a couple kids under the age of 3, it's hard to get out there and do 'major' projects, but the little things really do count. I have found when I start worrying about me, me, me - all i need to do is a little something for someone else & suddenly I'm taken care of too. I really enjoy reading the Book of Mormon & try to do it daily. I very much believe in the power of prayer. I end each day with a heartfelt prayer to my Heavenly Father. I express my gratitude, fears, thanks, and give him a verbal update on my day. I know he hears me and is very aware of my strengths and my weaknesses. I feel the peace that attending the Temple offers and really enjoy the time I do get to spend there - which isn't nearly enough! I try to be a compassionate wife, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend. I, like everyone else, am just trying the best I can, knowing that through faith and good works, great things can be achieved!
