Hi I'm Michelle

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Mom. In my early twenties, with one small baby, I was a divorced single mom. I was so disillusioned and disheartened. I worked 3 jobs, and barely spent time with my beautiful son. Time passed and I met my wonderful husband. We then endured 2 miscarriages and secondary infertility, before we were able to have 2 more boys. Because I always wanted to be a mom and I love babies, we took in foster babies for 11 years. That is how we came to adopt our 3 youngest children. We now have 5 sons (my hubby adopted my oldest too!) and 1 daughter and now a daughter in law. We are so blessed. I have a gift to calm the fussiest of babies. I do not get upset or rattled no matter how much sleep I miss. I love the calm and peacefulness that holding a baby in my arms brings to me. It reminds me how much my Heavenly Father loves each one of us. Now I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my first grandchild. A girl! I am so blessed.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into a family who were Mormon. From my earliest memories I was learning about the gospel of Jesus Christ and His loving atonement. My testimony of Christ and Joseph Smith and his first vision burn deep inside of me, and have since I was a young teen. Through the happiness and the sadnesss that I have experienced in my life I have always been able to rely on the Lord Jesus Christ and his infinite goodness to bring me peace and happiness. The gospel provides me and my family guidance and direction that we can be sure will bring us back to return with our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ someday.

How I live my faith

Since I have been a member of the church my entire life, I have rarely missed a Sunday without attending church. Of course illness sometimes keeps us away, and then in some way our week seems so much different, somewhat empty. I currently teach 6 of the cutest three year old kids about Jesus and Heavenly Father, each Sunday, about the wonderful things They have created for us. We do lots of singing and laughing, but it is so wonderful to hear their sweet testimonies of Jesus and how much they already know that He loves them. I love teaching them each week. I also visit 3 women monthly to keep track of their families and their needs. If illness or other needs are found I am then able to report in and let others help me help them with meals, childcare, rides to appointments, or other things that may need to be done. At times I have organized large dinners and parties for our congregation. We enjoy getting together and visiting, laughing and just having a good time.
