Hi I'm Jenna

I am an elementary teacher, I have a wonderful husband, I recently became a mom, I have a pacemaker and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up mostly in Arizona and love it. I love playing the flute and have played for over 15 years. When i was 13 I was diagnosed with complete heart block and had to have a pacemaker implanted, That trial brought me closer to my father in heaven and i am grateful for trials that make me stronger. When I was 21 I spent a year and a half serving for the LDS church in Chicago, IL Spanish speaking. I loved my mission and it helped shape who I am today. Two and a half years ago I married my best friend and he is a wonderful loving husband. I just received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University. However, I also recently became a mother and I have the privilege of being a stay at home mom with the hopes of one day being a teacher. I absolutely love being a mother and all the joys it brings with it. What a wonderful blessing it is to have families.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it is Christ's true church. It is the only church that has the authority from God to act in his name. I love that there is a living prophet here on the earth today just like in times of old. He leads us and can receive revelation to guide us. My testimony of Christ grows stronger each say as I study the Bible and the Book of Mormon. I know that the book of Mormon is more scripture given to us to bring us closer to Christ. I know these things to be true because I have prayed and asked Heavenly Father. I cannot deny the spirit that I have felt of its truthfulness and the joy that it has brought to my life. My understanding of Heavenly fathers plan for me has grown and I know my purpose here on earth. How grateful I am for my savior and that as I do my part it is because of him I can be with my family for eternity. What a blessing that is in my life to know these things. I truly feel so much joy every day because I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live each day the best I can knowing that I am not perfect. I make mistakes every day and I try to learn and grow from them. I have the opportunity to work with the youth ages 12 to 18. We have weekly activities that are fun, uplifting and teaches qualities for the youth to develop and prepare for adulthood and parenthood. It also teaches unity and service towards others. I also get to teach on Sundays and help the youth strive to come closer to Christ. Another opportunity I have is to visit and serve certain women in the church. I love going to their homes and sharing a special uplifting message. It has truly been a blessing to have these women in my life as we strengthen and uplift each other both spiritually and temporally.
