Hi I'm David

I grew up in Colorado. I love to wakeboard, ski and ride my road bike. I love and adore my wife and two boys! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Arvada Colorado and have spent most of my adult life here. I was blessed with the opportunity to serve a two year mission in Philadelphia and loved every minute of my time in the City of Brotherly Love. I now live and work in Arvada; I have an amazing wife who is my best friend and example of Christ like love. I have been blessed with two outstanding and very active sons. We love to ski, wakeboard, play sports in general, and follow our favorite sports teams. (Go AVS!) I have been a coach for close to 20 years for several youth sporting programs. I am so blessed to have the family I have!

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in a home where principles of love, integrity and patience were taught I knew that I was a child of God. It was clear to me as a young man that I wanted to be like Jesus in the way I treated people each and every day. I am so thankful to loving Heavenly Father. I know that He is real and I feel His love for me. He hears and answers my prayers. He sent his son Jesus Christ to come to this earth to be the Savior and Redeemer of mankind. I am so thankful for the Bible and Book of Mormon as they both testify of Jesus Christ and his role as the Savior. I love to attend the temple and am thankful for its purpose in this life. Each and every day I strive to live my life according to teaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ. I love being happy, kind, patient, and serving those around me. I find great joy in following the example of Jesus and striving to be the best I can be.

How I live my faith

I have had friends who are not members of the church comment on how hard it must be to be a Mormon. My response is always the same, “Being a Mormon is easy”. I really enjoy going to church every Sunday and listening as the Holy Ghost testifies of truth. I love to read the scriptures and pray both individually and with my family each day. I am thankful for the word of wisdom which gives me direction on what is good for my body. I am thankful for the opportunity to serve in the church in whatever capacity I am asked. I enjoy serving my ward family. Living gospel principles helps keep me focused on what’s most important in my life.
