Hi I'm Jim Greeno

Hello, I was born and raised in Colorado. I'm a retired engineer and work now as a realtor for fun. I am excited to be a Morman.

About Me

I enjoy working and living in Colorado with its wide range of weather and scenery. I've been a Grandpa five times and am looking forward to accomplishing that again as my youngest daughter is about to be married sometime in 2012. I have spent a lot of time in the Boyscouts organization in various postions, but enjoyed most the many campouts where I assisted in cooking for the boys and leaders. Doing some art work is a passion and love adding pictures to our Norman Rockwell wall in our home. Staying fit is a ongoing goal and walking our dogs around the open spaces in our community helps me to do that.

Why I am a Mormon

I was brought up in a Christian Home by goodly parents but had many questions gone unanswered by our protestant religion. There were no less than seven different people who brushed my life as a young adult that gave me information about their Morman beliefs. A kind man invited me to learn more and have a home cooked meal in his home where two young missionary men had also been invited. I became convinced that the Lord had sent all these people to me to allow me to understand who I was and why I had been placed upon the earth. I ,like many people was floundering in my life. At the age of 27 I adopted the faith and changed the course of my life forever. I have a wife who is also a member and very supportive. I am a Morman because I investigated the church, did historical research concerning the Book of Morman and can tell you that it is the true history of an ancient people who lived in the Yucatan Pennisula and Mexico. The book totally proves the Holy Bible is the word of God and is a second witness of the divinity of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

My first years in this church were filled with learning and doing much research concerning the history of a family of Hebrews who came to inhabite the Middle Americas( Mexico and South America). These people kept a written record of their history and it was compiled into one book for safe keeping and when the time was right it was brought forth, translated and printed into a book now known as the Book of Morman. It is a second witness of Jesus Christ and confirms that the Holy Bible is the word of God. Participateing in the Church is a great privilage and I have spent many years in the Scouting orgnization supported by the church. I have a leadership position as a "calling" in our men's quarom and enjoy singing in the choir. We also have several families who we watch over and visit each month providing physical and spiritual support. I feel a wonderful belonging and have matured spiritually since that first wonderfull home cooked meal in a friends home. I urge you to investigate the church for yourself, I promise that you will be well satisfied with the understanding of God's plan for all of us and your family as well.
